Route to Solda
Route to Solda

Again, we had to get up too early, the Früshtücksbuffett was still top class, with everything your heart desires, doch halt! Opposite the hotel in Bozen lacked the freshly squeezed orange juice! It will be really spoiled and demanding with time.

This time we the eSmart was assigned, an interesting concept about urban car. The responsible supervisor of Mercedes told us, that the eSmart has many components from normal smart and even the complete cycle of water cooling is identical. So all this was already looking very mature and many components had not only re-invented and constructed. The whole electronic stability programs, which compensate for the critical driving behavior due to the short wheelbase, were part of the latest generation. The car should not even come to break out on a snow-covered road, assured the friendly staff.
The first leg of our journey took us to the Vinschgau to Laas, where we find the impressive marble work "Lasa Marmo" ((http://www.lasamarmo.it/)) visited. Of course, so many of these helpers were once already in place and closed the car to to sockets, where they were supplied with fresh energy during the tour. The weather-resistant white marble from the place is coveted worldwide. A recent order is the lining of the new subway station of Ground Zero in New York. And marble also dominates the townscape. Marble gravel in the front yards, Pavements of marble in place and marble sculptures behind corners of houses. Facades of old churches – much here is verkeidet with marble.
It needs to be mentioned individually, that after the tour again with the local cuisine at the Gasthaus Krone ((http://www.krone-laas.it/)) were allowed to make extensive acquaintance.

Then it was on to the cable car up to the restaurant and Solda top station at 2600m ((http://www.seilbahnensulden.it/Deutsch/restaurant_seilbahn.php)). There we were an epic dessert of the chefs Jörg Trafoier with son Kevin from the restaurant Kuppelrain ((http://www.kuppelrain.com/de/restaurant.php)) proffers in Kastel Bell.
As far as I can remember it was a Vinschgauer snow in a more modern lighter version with Marilleneis on top. After the winners were announced the previous day, there was still a group photo outside, when it was just very cold and windy. Thanks to our super-finishing of VIST it was all bearable.
Once again it went down with the vehicles 3 km further to the Messner Mountain Museum Ortles ((Mountain Museum Ortles)) . A Museum of Reinhold Messner on ice and snow.

From there we went back to the Merano Thermal Baths place in a points event, Matthias graduated. We were so quickly go, that even time for a bathroom break was. According speedometer we would have achieved the exact cut to specification, Unfortunately, the speedometer was within the measurement range to 800m wrong, what our absolute nasty cut.
Some participants engaged a GPS-enabled device and were able to more accurately go to the required section. If the ambition goes beyond the target, you have to look just, that very few of the fun is not neglected.
Back at the hotel was again little time, So move up and down in the lobby, because the bus was already waiting.
It was time to Trauttmansdorff. ((http://www.trauttmansdorff.it/)).
Unfortunately it was already dark when we got there, so it was impossible, to see anything during the brief tour of the botanical garden. On the terrace of the local restaurants ((http://www.schlossgarten.it/de/1-Restaurant.html)) course awaited us back an aperitif with canapés and wine and live music. It was a mild and very pleasant evening on the roof terrace. After some time it went down to the restaurant and back to a multi-course meal, with appropriate wines to.
It was again quite late, when we came back. Therefore, there was not much time, prepare for the next route, because we had to pack our things, because in turn decency hotel change. This time it went back to the Four Points by Sheraton Bolzano ((http://www.fourpointsbolzano.com/de)), near our parking lot at the fair.
