|Day 3, Of. 25.09.2012/93,3 km, the Wine Route
Bozen - Kaltern - Marg Reid - Neumarkt - Auer - Eppan - Terlan - Meran
The next day began to feel like a Sunday! Breakfast A full hour later! This unfamiliar feeling of being Out Sleep. New animal spirits were awakened in us, and after breakfast we brought our luggage, which we labeled with our specially designed name tags, in the Hotel Lobby, where it then to the Hotel Therme Meran ((http://www.hotelthermemeran.it/)) should be carted. What a service!
For this day was the Peugeot iOn available to us and the first stop took us to the winery Lageder. ((http://www.aloislageder.eu/)) We decided, that I go to the winery, I then can feast on grape juice and Matthias will then continue – including the points event.
In Magreid arrived at the winery already waited again these countless helper and brownies, to connect to the cars immediately after the arrival of charging sockets.
Always fascinating again, how the organization could engage a gear smoothly into the other.
They welcomed us with a glass of cold tomato soup and a fried goat cheese balls on it. In addition there was either fruit juices, Grape juice and sparkling wine, served by nice Tyrolean interior in a dirndl.
We were given a small tour of the winery, saw the winery, So the wine press, the Gärtanks, the bottling and the wine cellar. In one part of the cellar there was an art installation, where the barrels were even reverberate with music. The song is a classic piece for strings (I think, it was Brahms.) and was of the original period of 5 minutes to one hour "stretched", without changing the pitch. The harmonic vibrations of musical intervals were thus obtained, but looked like frozen vibrations, the whether the appropriate intervals gave rise to a strange but comforting atmosphere. The energy for the music system comes from the wind and is thus so only played, when the wind blows strong enough.
After lunch right at the winery Lageder – again with wine tasting – we went on the Wine Route. (Meanwhile, we were accustomed, to constantly get food).
The special stage with the Peuigeot iOn drove Matthias and at the beginning he gave this time properly power. After all this time we wanted to get closer to the average time. The course of the route took us to the past Laimburg in the vineyards. Sometime after the Laimburg fell on us, that we were too slow re-, why it was quicker from then on the country roads. We were able to convince us, that the iOn is really a city car, 110 km / h, it would not seem to like, because it floats easily on, if it goes over rough bumps ;). A major advantage, however, was his slender appearance, because among the vineyards there were very narrow streets and it came to us quite a few cars meet. That would have been a little less relaxed with the Ampera.
Despite all efforts, we were in the exam course again too slow. Not much, but it's still not easy with this uniformity of driving.
The afternoon tour then ended in Merano on the Thermenplatz. A big beautiful space between the hotel Spa and the spa with an indoor swimming pool myself. At this place a large cube was re-erected, around which the electric cars were parked so again as in Bolzano. Everything was already prepared perfectly, and our luggage had already been brought into the room, we had to check only.
The hotel room had all the usual comforts. Who would want to have Internet, a wireless access point could pick up at the front desk and plug in the room. Directly opposite the room flowed roaring and seething over the registration and wore floods. A rather loud river, but this has interestingly not disturbed while sleeping.
The hotel itself was chic design. In the evening we were invited to a small reception in the bar. In the 1. Floor there was reading chairs, all very focused on the spa guests, who want peace and relaxation (only we, we were kind of out of place, but by the electric drive the car again not really disturbing. )
This time we had the evening free and have not been brought to any interesting destination, but were able to make the fading day itself free. It was time to slow down and Merano to look a little. A nice little town with beautiful arcades and, accordingly, quaint shops of trendy expensive fashion company. Since then it started to rain, we looked in a side street a chic pizzeria, which was really cheap for Touristadtverhältnisse. Matthias was still a bit surprised at the additional 1 EUR for the plate, but that was probably therefore, dass er wohl nie in Italien Urlaub gemacht hat und selbst das Essen bezahlen musste 🙂
We went right to bed early, of course, not without the obligatory route preparation for the next day. This time everything should be even better.
